- We've now hosted our PDF collection on Google Drive, so any links you've saved or bookmarks you've made will need to be replaced with the updated address for the particular page you were looking for. This included Tax Maps, Plat Books, Historical Maps and older surveys of the Railroad & Quarto properties.
- There is now a Lots layer on our GIS Viewer that shows the layout of the original lot lines for subdivisions, additions and towns as well as detailed information.
About Us:
The Monroe County Tax Map Department is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and updating of a comprehensive array of resources, including GIS data, online mapping, historic maps, and survey plats. Our office diligently reviews deed descriptions during the recording process to ensure compliance with the Monroe County Requirements for Conveyance and Monroe County Subdivision Regulations, both of which are accessible on our Documents and Files page.
To facilitate a seamless transfer process, we offer pre-approval services for legal descriptions scheduled for future conveyance. For optimal efficiency, we recommend submitting instruments at least two days prior to the transfer date. Pre-approving all conveyance documents is highly advised to expedite the process. Submissions may be sent via mail or email, and our team strives to review legal descriptions in the order received, typically providing feedback within 24 hours. Please allow additional time for larger or more complex documents to ensure a thorough review.
Our commitment to providing accurate and current mapping is unwavering. As we continuously update our records and correct identified errors, we encourage the public to report any discrepancies or concerns. Your input is invaluable in helping us maintain the highest standards of accuracy. Our team will investigate each reported issue and take appropriate action to enhance the reliability of our data in service to the community.
