About Us:
The Monroe County Tax Map Department is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and updating of a comprehensive array of resources, including GIS data, online mapping, historic maps, and survey plats. Our office diligently reviews deed descriptions during the recording process to ensure compliance with the Monroe County Requirements for Conveyance and Monroe County Subdivision Regulations, both of which are accessible on our Documents and Files page.
To facilitate a seamless transfer process, we offer pre-approval services for legal descriptions scheduled for future conveyance. For optimal efficiency, we recommend submitting instruments at least two days prior to the transfer date. Pre-approving all conveyance documents is highly advised to expedite the process. Submissions may be sent via mail or email, and our team strives to review legal descriptions in the order received, typically providing feedback within 24 hours. Please allow additional time for larger or more complex documents to ensure a thorough review.
Our commitment to providing accurate and current mapping is unwavering. As we continuously update our records and correct identified errors, we encourage the public to report any discrepancies or concerns. Your input is invaluable in helping us maintain the highest standards of accuracy.
